How long does the report take?
Typically under 60 seconds. Once your Stripe payment clears we query PPSR and NEVDIS in real time, render the report, and email it as a PDF. If a registry call ever runs slow (rare) we'll show progress in your browser and email you the moment it's ready.
Is the data official?
Yes — sourced directly from the Personal Property Securities Register (PPSR, administered by AFSA) and the National Exchange of Vehicle and Driver Information System (NEVDIS, administered by Austroads). These are the same databases banks, insurers and licensed dealers rely on. See our sample PPSR certificate and sample NEVDIS report.
Why not just use the government PPSR portal?
The government portal charges $7–$9 for a raw PPSR certificate but doesn't include NEVDIS — you'd have to run a separate written-off / stolen check elsewhere. What happens if I find finance owing?
The seller is legally required to clear the encumbrance before transferring ownership — or to give you proof of payout at settlement. If they refuse, walk away: a financier can repossess the car from you to recover the previous owner's debt, and that's exactly what a $19.99 Essentials check protects you from.
Is there a subscription or auto-renew?
No. Every charge is a one-off — pay per check. We don't store card details (Stripe does, PCI-DSS Level 1) and we never enrol you in anything by default. If you check more than ~10 vehicles a month, bundle pricing drops the per-report cost.
